Rules for Accreditation and Reaccreditation of Faculty Members
UFSC PROFESSOR
Guidelines:
- The registration of accreditation and reaccreditation in CAPG is carried out directly by the graduate program secretariat for programs rated 5 or higher in the SNPG.
- RESOLUÇÃO N°. 01/PPGEAL/2020, 19 de outubro de 2020 – Provides for the accreditation and reaccreditation of professors in the Graduate Program in Food Engineering.

- Affiliation with UFSC:
– Resolução Normativa Nº 5/2021/CPG, de 25/11/2021 – Provides for the institutional affiliation required for professors accredited in UFSC’s stricto sensu graduate programs. - Accreditation validity period:

EXTERNAL PROFESSOR (not affiliated with UFSC)
(Formal Cooperation Agreement between Universities)
- Exceptionally, faculty members and researchers from other institutions may be accredited to work in graduate programs, provided that a specific cooperation agreement is formalized with their home institution for a defined period.
RETIRED PROFESSOR OR WITHOUT AFFILIATION TO A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION
(Volunteer Professor)
Professors or researchers, including retired UFSC professors, may participate in graduate programs provided they have signed a term of agreement to provide voluntary service to the University in accordance with current legislation.

Note:
The volunteer service agreement process does not require submission to PROPG. The process flows through the Program, Department, Center, and the Rector’s Office.
