(Português do Brasil) Internacionalização PPGEAL
• CAPES/PRINT:
In terms of internationalization, it is observed that the Program attracts foreign candidates and the professors actively work in the international scientific community. To increase this insertion, the Program participates in 3 CAPES/PRINT/UFSC projects, which contribute to expanding the international insertion of PPGEAL, further strengthening the partnerships contemplated in the proposal. An important consequence of this strengthening is the possibility of offering courses in another language and increasing fundraising and strategic projects with international partners.
• SANDWICH DOCTORATE:
A very widespread activity among PPGEAL students is the search for additional training by carrying out a sandwich doctorate internship abroad. These partnerships have been systematically encouraged by the program by carrying out several actions: (1) encouraging students with the offer of sandwich scholarships, both through the former PADCT projects and through international cooperation projects such as the CAPES/PRINT project, stimulating this activity and also ensuring the student’s scholarship upon his/her return, we realized that the coexistence with cases of great success abroad has stimulated our students in this search. Along with the “sandwich doctorate” activities, our cooperations have sought to establish agreements for “double degrees”, according to agreements formalized with UFSC, presented on the website of the UFSC International Relations Department: https://sinter.ufsc.br/ category/agreements/.
• CLASSES TEACHED FROM ABROAD:
The growing offer of disciplines on special topics has also contributed to student training, which is taught by several researchers from international partner institutions, who have contributed to the PPGEAL through cooperation projects.
• DEFENSE OR WRITING OF COMPLETION WORK IN ENGLISH:
Another extremely relevant aspect, which enhances the internationalization of PPGEAL and strengthens the training of our students, is related to the growth in the number of final papers (dissertations or theses) that are written in English.
• OTHER INTERNATIONALIZATION ACTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN GROWING AT PPGEAL:
– Publications authored by researchers from foreign institutions;
– Cotutellas or international mobility of students;
– Participation of permanent professors as editors or as members of the editorial board of national/international journals and participation as organizers of international scientific events;
– International lectures or courses given by PPGEAL professors;
– Regular foreign students at PPGEAL.
