Alexandre Martins Moreira é formado em 1999 em Engenharia Agronômica pela UNESP-FCA em Botucatu-SP e possui licenciamento básico em Tecnologia de Alimentos pela FH Weihenstephan- Triesdorf na cidade Freising/Bavária/Alemanha.
Iniciou sua carreira na AMBEV (Filial Equatorial – São Luis-MA) como responsável pela área de qualidade de matéria-prima, processos de brasagem, filtração e foi responsável pela introdução do projeto corporativo FERMAT.
Em 2006 iniciou sua carreira no Instituto Fraunhofer de Processos Industriais e Embalagens (Fraunhofer IVV) na cidade de Freising/Bavária/Alemanha, onde no Departamento de Desenvolvimento de Materiais trabalhou em rede com outros institutos da Sociedade Fraunhofer nos projetos ORMOCER e WHEY LAYER.
Desde 2010 coordena as atividades de cooperação internacional com a Secretaria de Agricultura e Abastecimento do Estado de São Paulo (SAASP) e atualmente é responsável a nível nacional e América do Sul pela identificação de cadeias produtivas, competências científicas e elaboração de propostas de projetos submetidas no âmbito de chamas internacionais.
Desde 2010 coordenou os projetos SunPro (BMBF/MCTI), SeaFeed (BMBF/FAPESP), ByProFood (BMBF) e AcroWards (BMBF/FAPESP). Atualmente coordena os projetos SmartProSun (BMBF/FAPESP), SugarUp (BMBF/FAPESP), ACCEPT (CORNET/CiaDasAlgas), ProBean (CORNET/FAPESP), AcroFibre (CORNET), LeaFood (CORNET), AcroAlliance (BMEL/FINEP) e Damaged Beans (CORNET/FAPESP).
